ABOUT ME

​My name is Christian Royston. I am currently studying journalism at Iowa State University. I work for the Iowa State Daily, covering various sports, including football and women's basketball. I am also the editor for the Iowa State Daily's sports desk.

​I originally received a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from Iowa State before deciding to go back.

Sports have always been a big part of my life and throughout my time studying computer engineering I knew there was something more I wanted to do. I took a chance and followed my dream of writing about sports. My dream is to cover professional football and do NFL draft coverage.

Covering sports for the Daily has taught me to go out of my comfort zone and think outside the box. More than anything, I want to tell meaningful stories.
